“Whether or not you consider yourself to be in a relationship or not, they define our lives, particularly the one with yourself.” - Gillian Pierce
Gillian Pierce, co-founder of Global Glue Project, began her life’s work of studying relationships and what makes them succeed over 10 years ago following her own divorce. She set out on a quest for answers through filming couples around the globe in search of what keeps them sticking together. Gillian created Glue Talks, community events featuring Glue Films paired with leading relationship experts in the field, sharing the stage with authors such as Stan Tatkin, Bruce Tift, Terry Real, and Esther Perel.
Gillian has pursued many forms of relationship study. She is PACT (Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy) certified, she is a graduate of Newfield Network’s Ontological Couching Program, and studied Mindfulness Based Transpersonal Counseling at Naropa University. Gillian has over 10 years “in the rooms” of 12-step recovery and is an active sponsor in the program, studying the impact of addiction in relationship, including co-dependence and sex and love addiction issues. She also brings yoga philosophy into her approach, having studied yoga and meditation for over 20 years.
Gillian is the primary author of the GGP blog, continues to co-direct GGP films, and creates, facilitates and leads workshops and events for Global Glue Project.
With a style that is loving and present, yet direct and to the point, Gillian is able to quickly identify patterns and offer new perspectives and tools, drawing from her broad range of experience and knowledge.
